Cowl
Vent |
|
|
| There are two types of Harcon Slate and Tile roof vents:
the Cowl and the Roofline. The Cowl roof vent offers an ultra low profile,
probably the most unobtrusive on the market today. The Roofline range
incorporates a patented ‘discreet cassette’. This ensures
that although the roof vent is virtually flush with the roof, and almost
invisible, rainwater is kept above the roofline at all times. (Most
other designs incorporate a box below the vent to collect the water
and duct it back out.) The Harcon roof ventilation range can be used
at any pitch above 20º. |
 |
| Roof vents are supplied in a wide range of standard colours and
finishes, or can be colour and texture matched to any specific
tile. Brett Martin Harcon will even match weathered finishes,
to preserve the integrity and appearance of older buildings. |
 |

Cowl Vent with felt sleeve |
 |
The Harcon roof ventilation range is supplied as standard
with an integral, long reach felt sleeve to ensure that
the roofing underlay cannot obstruct the air passsage
into the roof void, as recommended by NFRC technical bulletin
20. Because it is an integral part of the vent no site
assembly is required and there is no possiblity of omission.
The round felt sleeve minimises risk of tearing the underlay
which commonly occurs with rectangular sleeves.
