Eaves VentilationEaves Ventilation

Roof ventilation at the eaves is specified in Building Regulations Approved Document F2, being required to provide either a 10mm or 25mm continuous air gap. Eaves to eaves ventilation is the simplest option for a standard roof void, but in most cases high level ventilation is also required. Brett Martin Harcon recommend high level roof ventilation in all cases, as it utilises the natural thermal uplift in a roof void.
Rafter Tray with Flyscreen
Rafter Tray with Flyscreen
The Harcon range of eaves accessories allows roof ventilation over the fascia board or at the soffit. Harcon over fascia roof vents, include a very low profile vent, and provide 10mm or 25mm continuous air gap. All are strong enough to resist collapsing under the weight of a roofer’s boot during installation or subsequent maintenance. Supporting items include comb fillers, fascia trays and rafter trays, all designed to ensure a continuous air path into the roof void and to prevent insect entry.
Harcon products are designed to work with standard rafter spacing: 400, 450 & 600mm. Maintenance free, corrosion and rot resistant, matt black finish available as standard.
Rafter Diagram
1 RT rafter tray
Harcon offer a range of rafter trays that prevent insulation blocking the air path from eaves to roof space by maintaining a 10mm or 25mm continuous air gap.
2 CF1 comb filler
Harcon comb filler is a flexible grill that fits under profiled tiles preventing debris, insects etc. entering the cavity above the roofing underlay.
3 FT60 fascia tray
Harcon fascia tray is used to support the underlay between the battens which prevents puddling and the risk of felt rotting.
4 OV10/FV10/FV25 over fascia roof vent
Harcon over fascia roof vent allows a 10mm or 25mm air gap to allow air flow into the roof void.
